Paul Bunnell

Aug 09, 1963 (62 years old) in Glendale, California, USA

PAUL BUNNELL (Writer, Producer, Director) began his cinematic journey in 1963 when a doctor first

slapped him on the rear and the sound of a movie projector came out! An avid film collector since

childhood, Paul’s early influences were Alfred Hitchcock, Bob Hope, and Walt Disney. His all-time

favorite movie is Brian De Palma’s Phantom of the Paradise.

Paul’s “film school years” consisted of him sneaking onto Hollywood sets to see how they were made.

He studied master directors like Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Tim Burton, and even David Lynch,

whom he later befriended. Some of the movies Paul wrote, produced, and directed include The Visitant,

Final Destination Unknown, That Little Monster and his personal favorite, the sci-fi musical comedy The

Ghastly Love of Johnny X, which has the dubious honor of being the lowest grossing theatrical film of

2012, and the last movie ever to be shot on Kodak Plus-X black-and-white film stock.

Paul wanted to make A Blind Bargain seem like it could have been an episode of Rod Serling's Night

Gallery. By shooting on Kodak film and using cinematic techniques from the period, he believes he has

achieved this to his satisfaction.
