So the opening scenes are a bit beyond what I'd call normal, which in this instance is probably a good idea as the premise of the story is homicidal madness and a brilliant mothers love. Feels like science helping the rich out, in the case of our psychotic young man, an enabling mother who not only condones but actually feeds the behavior by aiding his compulsion to hurt and kill. And that is just the 1st 30 minutes into the film, I've a suspicion that I'm going to become irrate as the young actor portraying our villain is perfect in his approach to the character. This film makes me wonder if brilliance comes with feeling you're untouchable for your actions or maybe it's something deeper in the psyche of random individuals and HIS brilliance is what is random.
