SEASON 1 (CASTELLANO) Desde el primer episodio, Fargo deja claro que no intenta ser una simple copia de la película de los Coen, sino que tiene su propia identidad. Mantiene ese humor negro tan característico y una historia llena de giros inesperados que enganchan desde el principio. La sucesión de acontecimientos es un efecto dominó que, aunque a veces parece exagerado, resulta imposible de dejar a medias. Billy Bob Thornton está increíble. Su personaje, Lorne Malvo, es hipnótico y transmite una sensación de peligro constante sin necesidad de exageraciones. Martin Freeman tampoco se queda atrás, transformando a su personaje de una forma que sorprende y atrapa. La relación entre ambos y cómo sus caminos se cruzan es una de las mejores cosas de la serie. El tono mezcla tensión y comedia absurda de una forma que, aunque a veces parece jugar al límite, funciona la mayor parte del tiempo. Hay momentos en los que la serie se ramifica demasiado o se toma su tiempo en ciertas tramas, pero al final todo encaja. La ambientación gélida de Minnesota y la forma en que la historia refleja la fragilidad de la moral humana son clave para esa sensación de fatalidad constante.
