This time, our super sleuth takes to the high seas for this engaging mystery, Alongside recently absent No. 2 son "Jimmy" he must investigate the murder of a treasury agent who is trying to thwart quite a complex conspiracy to smuggle counterfeit cash into Samoa. Can he find the culprit before it docks and the passengers all go their separate ways? Silly question, really - but this is not an easy series of deductions as he, with the hapless "Jimmy" and fellow, if rather irritating, pal "Chattanooga" (Willie Best) - who have procured a fun set of walkie talkies for this adventure - have to deal with an eloping couple, an icythyologist, a blackmailer and someone very handy at knife throwing - indeed it makes you wonder why cruising ever took off at all! Their search is light-hearted and well paced, with plenty of red herrings to keep the suspense going swimmingly. Not one of the best, but nice to have Sen Yung back, too!
